BECOMING A MEMBER ASSOCIATION OF WSCGA

All Women's Golf Associations in South Carolina are welcome to be a part of the Women's South Carolina Golf Association. Member associations in good standing are entitled to all WSCGA services. Three categories of membership are offered to suit the needs of each and every golf course in the state.

REGULAR MEMBERSHIP

Comprised of Women's Golf Associations who play at an 18 hole golf course and who would be able to host a WSCGA major tournament, if requested. Regular members are required to host a one-day tournament for 100 players approximately every four years. Regular Membership shall entitle a member association to all privileges of the Women's South Carolina Golf Association.

ASSOCIATE MEMBERSHIP

Comprised of Women's Golf Associations who play at a 9 hole course, a golf club without real estate, and those otherwise not able to host a one-day or major tournament. Members of Associate Member associations are eligible to compete in the WSCGA Major Championships.  Associate Membership shall entitle a member association to all privileges of the Women's South Carolina Golf Association, except participation in One-Day tournaments.

AFFILIATE MEMBERSHIP

An Affiliate Membership shall be a golf facility that does not have a Women's Golf Association, and does not provide or subscribe to any handicapping system.

An Affiliate member club may apply for Regular or Associate membership in the Women's South Carolina Golf Association upon organization of a Women's Golf Association and subscribing to the handicapping system contracted by the Women's South Carolina Golf Association.

Representatives from the WSCGA Board of Governors are available to meet with interested associations and visit their course. In addition, all courses are rated by the WSCGA Rating Committee prior to membership being offered. Each application for membership is presented to the Board of Governors for approval as soon as possible.
