Ann Maness of Galivants Ferry fired a final round 76, and a three day total of 228 to claim the 2005 WSCGA Junior Girls’ Championship. Her first state championship title, Ann beat the field by a commanding eight shots.  Emily Rapp finished second with a final round 76 for a 3-day total 236. Finishing in third place was Taylor Barrett with a 3-day total of 237. In the nine hole division for players 10-12, McKenzie Talbert from N. Augusta was the winner shooting 40 in the final round for a 27 hole total of 128.

The Women’s South Carolina Golf Association would like to thank  Houndslake Country Club, Head Professional Randy Few and his wife Susan, Junior Girls Chair, Cathy Hill, along with the volunteers for their assistance in making the 2005 Championship a special one.  The girls were lucky to be able to enjoy such a beautiful, extremely difficult par 72, 5834 Houndslake layout.
