Mt. Pleasant, SC
Mallory Hetzel of Summerville captured her second straight WSCGA Girls Junior Championship at RiverTowne Country Club in Mt. Pleasant. Her one under total of 215, a WSCGA Junior record and competitive best for Mallory, assured the victory. She cruised home with a 69 in the final round and finished 7 shots ahead of Whitney Sylvan from Columbia. Sylvan tried to put on the pressure by also firing 69 in the final round; her one round competitive best. The course played to a par-72 at 5759 yards.
The Women’s South Carolina Golf Association would like to thank all of the players, and the RiverTowne Country Club for hosting the event. The girls were lucky to be able to enjoy such a beautiful, extremely difficult and well-conditioned course.
