WSCGA MATCH PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL RESULTS   Lady’s Island Country Club Lady’s Island, SC June 20-24, 2006

Jennifer Adams of Bluffton won the 2006 WSCGA Match Play Championship played at Lady’s Island Country Club in Beaufort. The medalist of Tuesday’s qualifying round with a 74, Adams went through her match play bracket with wins over Jenny Fretwell, Carole Hammond and Whitney Sylvan.  In the final match, Jennifer defeated 2006 WSCGA Senior Champion Kristine Berger of Hilton Head by a margin of 1 up. A tight match throughout, Jennifer pulled ahead with a birdie on the par 5 17^th hole and secured the victory on the final hole with a brilliant approach shot to make par for the win.

Joan Jordon from Dataw won the 1^st flight, Kat Salley of Columbia was the victor in the 2^nd flight, and Jenny Shealy also from Columbia was the winner of the 3^rd flight.

The WSCGA would like to thank Lady’s Island Country Club for hosting this tournament. The players had nothing but good things to say about the course. The course and greens were in great shape.
