August 17, 2011 was a beautiful
day for golf and taking advantage of it were 116 ladies
all playing in the 6th Vicki Hillen Tribute to help support
junior golf.
The day started with a continental breakfast and the purchasing
of raffle tickets. The fun part about the raffle is that
teams donate a goody basket or item to be used in the raffle.
Each item has a bowl placed in front of it and players drop
their raffle tickets in the bowl of the item they wish to
win. The fun part is watching the ladies decide on where
to place their tickets as there are so many wonderful items
to choose from.
The format for the event is two best balls of the foresome
shamble. Each player hits their tee shot and select the
best drive and then they play their own ball until it is
holed out.
The winners of this year event are:
Division 1:
Low Gross Kay Hall, Dana Halliday, Chrissy Spidell and Leah
Bohnen 131
