Lady’s Island, SC

Donna Gonsalves of Bluffton won the 2007 WSCGA Match Play Championship played at Lady’s Island Country Club in Beaufort. Gonsalves went through her match play bracket with wins over Susan Harden, Caroline Rankin, and Karin Wolfe.  In the final match, Donna defeated 2007 WSCGA Senior Champion Karen Ferree of Hilton Head.  A tight match at the start, Gonsalves pulled ahead with a 2-under par 34 on the front side and played steady golf the rest of the match to secure the victory.

Brenda Frye from Charleston won the 1^st flight, and Barbara Collins of Myrtle Beach won the 2^nd flight. Consolation winners were Barbara Hocking in the Championship flight, Mo O’Brien, 1^st flight, and Mary Jo Demko took the 2^nd flight.
