64 teams competed in the 14^th annual WSCGA State Team Championship at Woodside Plantation in Aiken on March 15^th and 16th. The opening round four-ball format was played on Woodside Plantation’s Cupp course, and the final round modified alternate shot format was contested on the Jones course. The team of Karen Ferree of Hilton Head and Donna Gonsalves from Bluffton won the Championship with rounds of 69 and 71. Lea Venable and Cecelia Barksdale, co-medalist of the tournament, finished second 3 shots back with rounds of 69-74.

Flight champions include: 2^nd flight: Kathy Ferriter/ Jessie West; 3^rd flight: Grace Therriault/Kathy Adams tied with Fran Dunn and Dana Halliday; 4^th flight: Judith Kovalik/ Cheryl Schramm; 5^th flight: the three teams of Babs McIntosh/ Rhan Parham, Carrel Westlake/ Jeannine Orr and Marge McDougal/ Jeannine Orr finished in a tie for 1^st place and agreed to share the honor. 6^th flight: Linda Swan/ Linda Johnson.
