2009 WSCGA SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP - FINAL RESULTS
Woodfin Ridge Golf Club, Inman SC -May 19-20, 2009

A newcomer to women’s South Carolina golf, Stephanie Van Inwagen shot rounds of 75, 71 to win the 2009 WSCGA Senior Championship. The Championship, a 36 hole stroke play event was contested at Woodfin Ridge Golf Club in Inman. Playing in cool and windy conditions, Stephanie won the tournament by 2 shots over five time winner of this event Karen Ferree. Karen missed several key putts down the stretch and finished as the tournament Runner-Up. Jeanie Atkinson from Columbia finished 3^rd in the Championship flight.

The winner of the Super-Senior division was Tori Langen from John’s Island who shot excellent rounds of 79-77. All contestants played the course at 5416 yards.

Cindy Altieri from Lake Wylie was the winner of the first flight in a playoff with Donna Bailey. Both players finished the 36 holes with a two day total of 156. Cindy won on the second playoff hole. Yoshiko Mizuno finished 3^rd.

Jan Bowers won the second flight, followed by Co-Tournament Chair Sandra Boyter in second place. In third place was Chris Shadoan.

Jo Kammerer of Charleston won the third flight followed by Dana Halliday and Pamela Brazeau. Amy Hurst won the 4th flight with Vicky Bagwell and Andrea Bowers finishing 2^nd and 3^rd. In the 5^th flight, Jean Busch was 1^st with Cheryl Kelly and Rita Zrimsek 2^nd and 3^rd.
