WSCGA JUNIOR GIRLS CHAMPIONSHIP - FINAL RESULTS

The
WSCGA Junior Girls' State Championship being contested at
the newely renovated Orangeburg
Country Club concluded play on Friday
. Medalist Lauren Dunbar playing out of Forest Lake
Club led the entire 54 holes to
win her first South Carolina Junior Girls' Championship.
Dunbar, 17 years old and from Columbia, shot a 74 today
and a three day total 2-over par 221 to secure the title.
Chelsey Couch of Ware Shoals was
the tournament runner-up with a 54 hole
total of 225.
The first sub-par round of the tournament was shot by Kristi
Goodman from Easley, who carded a one under 72 to win the
16-18 division. McKenzie Talbert of North Augusta was 3rd
overall and the winner of the 13-15 year old division with
a three day total of 226. In second place was 12 year old
Lauren Stephenson, who chose to move up to the 13-15 division,
with a total 232.
Natalie Srinivasan from Spartanburg,
who led the nine hole division each day, shot a final round
of 40 to win the 10-12 age division. Madison Elliott of
Little River finished second with Anna Eddy from Hilton
Head coming in third.
The 8-9 five hole division was
won by Jensen Castle on the first playoff hole against her
sister Jalen. Both future stars
shot a three day total of 81
