2004 WSCGA Stroke Play Championship

WSCGA STROKE PLAY CHAMPIONSHIP

SPRING VALLEY COUNTRY CLUB

SEPTEMBER 21-23, 2004

Columbia, SC

Seventeen year old Mallory Hetzel from Summerville, won the 2005 WSCGA Stoke Play Championship played at Spring Valley CC in Columbia. Hetzel, also a two time champion of the WSCGA Junior Championship, started the final round with a slim 2 shot lead over 2000 Stroke Play champion Cecilia Fournil and never lost her lead. Fournil cut that margin to one shot on three occasions en route to a closing 74 to finish in second place behind Hetzel.. Susan Cummings from Simpsonville, finished 3^rd and Kristine Berger and Lea Bagwell-Venable tied for 4^th. Defending Champion Lea Anne Brown finished in 5^th place.

Other flight winners include Cecelia Barksdale, Chris Shadoan, Jenny Prather, Suzann Kemp, and Nancy Fitzgibbons. The winner of the low net Myrtice Riccoboni Trophy was Jan Bowers from Easley.
