Welcome to the Women’s SC Golf Association Dear WSCGA Members, For more than 75 years, the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association has been a source of opportunity, connection, and leadership for wom en who love the game. Since our founding in 1949, WSCGA has worked to support, promote, and advance women’s golf across South Carolina - made possible by the commitment of members like you. Today, we have the opportunity to shape an exciting and lasting future. Our vision is to establish a permanent home for WSCGA, anchored by a South Carolina Women’s Golf Hall of Fame. This space will honor the women who built the game in our state, preserve our history, and serve as a place of pride, inspiration, and connection for generations of wom en golfers. We are also committed to expanding programming for women, creating more opportunities for competition, leadership, education, and lifelong engagement in the game. To support this growth, we must increase our staff capacity, allowing us to better serve our members and strengthen our impact statewide. Looking ahead, we seek to establish an endowment fund to ensure long-term financial stability, while also increasing grants and scholar ships that support women through golf, education, and leadership op portunities. These investments help secure a strong, sustainable future for WSCGA. This vision is ambitious, but it is firmly rooted in the mission that has guided WSCGA for more than seven decades. With your support, we can build a permanent home, strengthen our organization, and ensure that women’s golf in South Carolina continues to thrive. - Clarissa Childs, Executive Director Women’s SC Golf Association by the Numbers: More than 17,000 members 300+ member clubs 77 years of excellence Hosts more than 50 events per year 1

Legacy: The History of Women’s Golf in SC For more than 75 years , the Women’s South Carolina Golf Association has united women who love the game. Founded in 1949 , WSCGA was created to promote and protect women’s golf at a time when organized opportunities were limited. What began as a grassroots effort has grown into one of the nation’s leading state women’s golf associations. From the beginning, WSCGA focused on meaningful opportunities to compete, connect, and lead . It established state championships, strengthened club programs, expanded tournaments, provided education and rules support, offered handicap services, and advocated for women golfers at every level . In 2005, WSCGA launched the Vicki Hillen Junior Golf Foundation to introduce girls to the game and support their development through access and instruction. Today, WSCGA represents more than 300 member clubs and approximately 17,000 women statewide , serving as a trusted leader in competition, education, and the preservation of women’s golf in South Carolina. • The Women’s South Carolina Golf Hall of Fame will be the first of its kind in the Unit ed States. South Carolina’s women have nev er waited for permission to lead. They have won championships, built programs, mentored young players, and opened doors that once seemed closed. This Hall of Fame honors those achievements while setting a new standard for what is possible. • This is more than a building. It will be a liv ing, working hub for women’s golf. A place for tournaments, clinics, networking events, award ceremonies, and leadership gatherings. A place where careers in golf are encouraged and sup ported. A place where stories are preserved and new ones begin. The Women’s SC Golf Hall of Fame: A Fusion of Legacy, Learning, Lifelong What the Hall of Fame Will Include Will Include: • It will inspire the next generation. Girls and young women across the state will see what can happen when talent meets opportunity. They will meet role models. They will see path ways not only as players, but as coaches, ad ministrators, and industry leaders. • This Hall of Fame is for everyone. It will unite communities, celebrate excellence, and serve as a model for golf associations nationwide. • This campaign does more than launch the Hall of Fame. It includes $450,000 to expand tournaments and events and to establish an endowment that protects and strengthens the legacy of women’s golf in South Carolina for generations to come. The Women’s South Carolina Golf Hall of Fame will be more than a museum. It will serve as a living center for education, opportunity, and inspiration, featuring: Exhibits honoring South Carolina’s women golfers Rotating displays celebrating players, coaches, and contributors Oral histories and interactive storytelling A living history archive preserving the game’s legacy Classroom and event space for tournaments, seminars, and programs A statewide digital archive By building and endowing this Hall of Fame, WSCGA will honor the past while empowering today’s women and inspiring future generations. 3

Why Now? Answering the Call We invite you to join us in building the Women’s South Carolina Golf Hall of Fame and a permanent home for WSCGA -a lasting tribute to the women who shaped the game and a forward-looking center for education, leadership, and opportunity. You can make a lasting impact by choosing to: Name an exhibit Name a room or gathering space Name a scholarship Underwrite a tournament or program Contribute to the endowment Together, we will honor the past, build a permanent home for WSCGA, and create pathways for future champions, leaders, and professionals in the game we love. “This endeavor is for you! It will open you to an all new group of women that have diverse backgrounds and experiences. New friendships will blossom and support networks will grow.” ~ Heather Paddison, Board President “Providing opportunities in golf for women opens the doors to skills, confidence, and leadership pathways that have historically been harder to access. When women are equipped with knowledge, a historical per spective, and training, the entire sport becomes stronger, more inclusive, and reflective of the talent that’s already there.” ~ Mary Shultz, Board Treasurer “Competitive and social opportunities are provided for women golfers of all ages, creating an inclusive environment where players can develop their skills while enjoying the camaraderie of the game. Junior girls’ development programs help cultivate the next generation of golfers and provide pathways for scholarship opportunities and continued participation in the sport. Participants will build meaningful connections and form lifelong friendships within a vibrant community of women golfers across the state.” ~ Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Palmer (Coosaw Creek Golf Club) “Building the Women’s Golf Hall of Fame isn’t just about honoring champions-it’s about creating a home for the future of the game. As the first of its kind in the country, this will inspire every girl and woman who plays golf in South Carolina to know that this Hall of Fame belongs to them.” ~ Jennifer Alvarez (Rivertowne Country Club), Board Secretary After more than 75 years of impact, WSCGA is launching the Women’s South Carolina Golf Hall of Fame, the first of its kind in the United States. Early leadership gifts will secure a permanent home, fund programs, and build an endowment that protects and advances women’s golf for generations. 5
