Junior Golf Foundation

The Women's South Carolina Golf Association through their Junior Golf Foundation, a 501(c)(3) is pleased to provide financial assistance through the reimbursement of tournament entry fees to qualified junior golfers. The program introduced in 2014 is titled Junior Golf Assistance Program, JGAP, and is established to provide reimbursement for tournament entry fees up to a total of $400 per player per calendar year. The funding for this program comes from a variety of sources including donations from member clubs' Ladies Golf Associations, fundraisers and the Jane Covington golf tournament.

All applications will be reviewed quarterly. Funds for this program are limited and will be awarded on a first come, first served basis.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Must play in at least one of the following WSCGA events: The Foundation Junior Championship, WSCGA Amateur Championship and/or WSCGA Junior Championship.

2. Applicant must be under the age of 19 years of age while playing in applicable tournaments.

3. Applicant must not be associated or affiliated in any way with a NCAA college or university.

4. Applicant must be a legal resident of the State of South Carolina.

5. Applications must be received in the calendar year that the event occurred no later than December 1st.

Eligible Expenses

1. Tournament Entry Fees to any South Carolina Junior or Amateur Golf Tournament.

Note: Junior golfers that are entering college on a golf scholarship may apply and receive this financial assistance without violating any NCAA/USGA Rules. This is in accordance with NCAA guidelines (Bylaws) 12:1:2e.
