WSCGA Premier Championships

About Majors & Championships

These premier championships collectively represent the competitive heart of women's amateur golf in South Carolina, offering a diverse and inclusive pathway for golfers of all skill levels and ages.

From the teamwork of the Team Championship and Palmetto Cup to the individual tests of skill in the Amateur and Match Play events, the WSCGA's majors structure a season-long journey of competition. The series honors the traditions of the game through the Senior Championship while also building community with co-ed events like the Mixed Team Championship and the Carolinas Net Amateur.

Together, they foster camaraderie, showcase elite talent, and celebrate the vibrant spirit of the game across the Palmetto State.

About Majors & Championships

WSCGA Team Championship

This is a 2-person team event. The first day of play is Better Ball and the second day of play is Modified Alternate Shot.
For more information, click here.

The Palmetto Cup

This is a 6-person team event. All team players must maintain handicaps at the same club. (For golf communities with more than club, all six team members must maintain handicaps at the same "home" club.)

Each 6-member team will be divided into two A players, two B players and two C players. Each six-person team will then compete against another 6-person team with their As playing 4-ball match play vs the other team's As, Bs playing against Bs, and Cs playing against Cs. The 6-person team that accumulates the most points is the winner. For more information, click here.

WSCGA Senior Championship

This is a two-day individual stroke play championship with Championship and Legends divisions. For more information, click here.

WSCGA Amateur

This is an individual stroke play competition. Championship and State divisions play three rounds over three days; Palmetto and Super Senior divisions play two rounds over two days. For more information, click here.

Walton Horton and Jeanne Campbell WSCGA Match Play Championship

Players who were eliminated before the final day will play in some form of Crier's Tournament. For more information, click here.

Carolinas Net Amateur Championship

This event is open to men and women maintaining a residence in South Carolina or North Carolina. It is 36 holes of individual stroke play, using 100% of a player's Course Handicap to determine net scores. There are six divisions: Men, Women, Senior Men, Senior Women, Super Senior Men and Super Senior Women.

Mixed Team Championship

This is a 2-person team event, one male, one female on each team. All scores are gross. The first day of play is better ball; the second day is modified alternate shot.
